Dr Hazel Easthope is Professor of Urban Studies at the UNSW City Futures Research Centre, where her research focuses on improving strata and apartment living. Ranked in the top 2% of researchers globally for citations, she is regularly consulted by industry, government and peak bodies.

Dominic is a property, asset and construction management professional with almost 20 years' experience across facilities management, capital works and project delivery. He is the Director of Valen Project Services and is a strong advocate for informed strata owners.

Dr Nicole Johnston is the Founder and Director of Strata Knowledge. Nicole has led research projects spanning building defects, strata insurance, conflicts of interest, strata management and governance responsibilities.

David has a broad business background, mainly in marketing and communications for technical and B2B clients. He’s been a strata committee member in both commercial and residential buildings for more than 15 years, working with various strata managers as well as self-managed buildings.

Chris holds the unique distinction of having been Queensland’s Commissioner for Body Corporate and Community Management for over 5 years. He knows first-hand from his time as Commissioner, the challenges that strata owners face in exercising their rights and protecting their investment.

Karen joined OCN as Executive Officer in January 2012. She brought with her a wealth of real-life strata experience through her time on strata committees began with her first apartment in 1984 and spans minor and major upgrade projects and a large major-defects claim.

Julie has contributed to SCA (Vic) for more than 20 years, serving as a Board Member for much of that time and helping to shape the organisation’s growth and success. In recognition of her service, she received an Honorary Life Fellowship in 2022.
