Dr Hazel Easthope

Dr Hazel Easthope is Professor of Urban Studies and Deputy Director of the City Futures Research Centre at UNSW. Her research focuses on improving the quality and experience of strata and apartment living. Her expertise spans property title and ownership structures, estate governance and management, urban renewal and housing redevelopment, building retrofits/upgrades and resident relationships. She is in the top 2% of researchers globally for citations in Stanford/Elsevier’s citation analysis reports, and she is regularly consulted by industry, government and peak body organisations in Australia and internationally. Underpinning her research is a deep concern with how to enable people to feel at home in the places where they live.
