Allison Benson

Allison Benson is a specialist in strata and community title law with over 18 years of experience in the field. Since beginning legal practice in 2007, Allison has developed deep expertise across all facets of strata law, dedicating herself exclusively to this area since 2012. Allison co-founded Kerin Benson Lawyers in 2014 and in June 2026, she established Benson Legal, bringing her team with her to continue delivering exceptional service to clients navigating the complexities of strata and community title matters. 

Allison's practice encompasses a comprehensive range of strata issues, including dispute resolution, building and construction matters, by-law drafting and interpretation, and management statement work. Following the 2015 strata law reforms, she has also become a trusted advisor in strata renewal matters, guiding both owners corporations and individual lot owners through this complex process. 
 
Known for her pragmatic and straightforward approach, Allison focuses on cost-effective solutions tailored to each client's specific needs. She is a Fellow of the Australian College of Strata Lawyers and is a frequent contributor to the field through writing and presenting on strata law topics. 

Allison holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Macquarie University, a Bachelor of Business from the University of Newcastle, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Studies from the College of Law. 

Outside the office, Allison enjoys spending time in nature with her beloved dogs, Ollie Dogasaurus and Melvin.
